Face Your Fears

Facing your fears. One of the key challenges most of us face today, is their inability to overcome their fears. And it is difficult to succeed or triumph in the things you are afraid of….

Although, you may have failed before, doesn’t mean you are a failure. Always remember, failure is only a delay but not defeat.

Yet, if you ever think of giving up as a result of your past failures, consider what John Mason said, “Successful people are not afraid to fail. They go from failure to failure until at last success is theirs.”

A good example is Abraham Lincoln, he failed in business, was defeated for state legislator, ran for congress and was defeated, Senate lost, until he was elected as a President of the United States. What matters most is not how many times you fail, but that you never stop trying.

Face Your Fear

Most often, one of the key reasons why many have not pursued their dreams is nothing but fear. Fear of unknown, fear of I can’t, fear of what will happen, yet they haven’t try…. But how do you overcome this fear as Pope John XXIII quote:

“Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do.”

The Power of Indecision

A wise man ones said, it is better to do something and make mistake, than to do nothing at all. Another person said, good plan executed today are far better than perfect plans executed next month. According to Henry Ford – “Indecision is often worse than wrong action” In my view, indecision is an enemy of success. It slow down someone’s mobility. It is a battle of mind. And it goes like this:

  • We are afraid of what will happen – What if it doesn’t work?
  • So, so person has done it and nothing happen – What makes me think is possible?
  • Let me wait for the next season maybe things will change?

Friends, the cure to indecision begins when you face your fear – You will never know what you can do until you decide to do it. And the quality of your decision lies on how much facts you have. So, gather the right info (facts) about whatever you want to do. Make inquiries, seek for suggestions and professional advice etc.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said – Each indecision brings its own delays and days are lost lamenting over lost days. . . . What you can do or think you can do, begin it. For boldness has magic, power, and genius in it.
