Your Talent, Your Champions

In the race of destiny, your education can only take you to certain level but, it is your talent that makes you stand out in any chosen field. Always remember, everything you ever need to emerge as a champion is already in you. All you need is, look inward and discover them. Consider the following people who turn their talent plus into a champion:

Using his hand
Michael Jordan emerge as a star using his hands (basket ball)
Using their legs
The world most noted best players such as Ronaldo and Messi utilize their legs (football)
Through their mouth
Great musicians like R. Kelly and many others make use of their voice to become a champion
Using their brain
Bill Gates and many other world inventors make use of their brain thereby adding value to humanity

Are you aspiring to be a champion? What is your talent like? If you can’t use your brain, use your voice. If you can’t use your voice, use your hand. If you can’t use your hand, use your leg. If you can’t use your leg, just take step and keep moving until you achieve your dreams. Although, there is always a little beginning but don’t give up until you become a champion.

How do you know your talent or passion?
In his book, “Talent Is Not Enough” John Maxwell suggests the following ways to discover your talent:
• What do you dream about?
• What do you cry about?
• What do you sing about?

In addition, what are those things that bring fulfillment to you when you do them? What are the things you freely do even if there is no financial attachment?
According to John Maxwell, your answer to above questions can help you discover your passion and talent. Therefore, if you already have a talent keep on trying until you succeed. But if you don’t, never give up hope until you discover yours. Have a blessed day.

Qualities of Champions

In today’s world, the same way we have certain ingredients that bring out the taste of food. The same true apply to us; there are certain attributes or characteristics that make champions to stand out and to achieve their dreams. Here are few:
Champions are visionary leaders. They identify their visions at early stage; this means they define their destination before they ever start the journey. The “why question” are much more important to them than “how to get there.” But, what are other attributes that set them apart? Bill Hybels said, “Visionary people face the same problems everyone else faces; but rather than get paralyzed by their problems, visionaries immediately commit themselves to finding a solution.”

Another attributes is that they are courageous people. According to them, as Norman Vincent wrote, “Courage does not mean the absence of fear, courage means being afraid, but doing it anyway.” This means, although you may have failed before yet you are taking bold step to try again. Nelson Mandela put it this way, “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”
To them, no matter what they went through – the challenges and uncertainties they stay focus until they succeed. Denis Waitley said, people of focus “Don’t dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.”

Why do many people give up on their dreams, and champions succeed? Napoleon Hill suggests, “The majority of men meet with failure because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans to take the place of those which fail.” Champions never stick to one plan rather they always think of new ways of doing things, handling issues and adapting to changes in order to achieve their desire goals.
Possibility Thinkers
According to them, “If you think you can, you are right, but if you also think you can’t you are right,” make your choice. That’s why, champions are possibility thinkers. They see every challenge as an opportunity, and every stumbling block as a stepping stone. Most of all, they don’t react to issues rather they respond to it effectively.

Please, share your view other attributes that make champions or set them apart from ordinary people.

The Power of Persistent

It’s been said, the type of dream or vision you have in life will determine the kind of challenges you face. Little dream always attract little problem, and big dreams also attract bigger obstacles. But, one of the ways to thrive even in the mix of your obstacles is to be a man or woman of persistence.

Always remember, persistent is not about something you do once. It is not about the timing or delay in reaching in your set goals. Rather, persistent is about finishing the race. It is about completion. It is about standing up where others fall. Rising up where others quit. Although, your visions tells you where you are going but, persistent is what enables you to get there through your tireless pursuit. I wish you best and may you achieve all your set goals.

The Power of Self Encouragement

One of the key things that can stop anyone from reaching or accomplishing his dreams in life is, when you don’t believe in yourself. When you start doubting yourself. And when you start having second a thought “I can’t..”

I agree with Henry Ford who quotes “If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you are right” which means the choices of winning or failing is in your hand. Always remember, where there’s a will there’s a way.

Why is this important?

Because, winning in life begins in your heart, plus self believe and most importantly, your faith in God. Although people might not believe in you always, but have faith in yourself that….you have what it takes to be a winner.

A good example here is the Wright Brothers, their story changed the way we view our world. Initially, before inventing an aero plane, it seems to be an impossible case….I guess, most of their friends would have say “You can’t do it”
But despite all this, they encourage themselves. They refuse to give up. They never doubted themselves. Yet, they kept working…trying…until their dreams becomes a reality.

So, don’t give up on your dreams or career…keep trying..until you win. Take away: Failure is only a delay and not a defeat.

The Power of Commitment

Commitment is one of the key determining factors to winning in life. Commitment is what enables you to attain to… all the success you seek for whether personally or professionally. I agree on what LeBron James said, “Commitment is a big part of what I am and what I believe.

  • How committed are you to winning?
  • How committed are you to being a good friend?
  • To being trustworthy?
  • To being successful?
  • How committed are you to being a good father, a good teammate, a good role model?
  • There’s that moment every morning when you look in the mirror: Are you committed, or are you not?”

So, lets be committed because it is the” Key” to winning in life. Please share any additional thoughts about how we can improvement our commitments.

Face Your Fears

Facing your fears. One of the key challenges most of us face today, is their inability to overcome their fears. And it is difficult to succeed or triumph in the things you are afraid of….

Although, you may have failed before, doesn’t mean you are a failure. Always remember, failure is only a delay but not defeat.

Yet, if you ever think of giving up as a result of your past failures, consider what John Mason said, “Successful people are not afraid to fail. They go from failure to failure until at last success is theirs.”

A good example is Abraham Lincoln, he failed in business, was defeated for state legislator, ran for congress and was defeated, Senate lost, until he was elected as a President of the United States. What matters most is not how many times you fail, but that you never stop trying.

Don’t Give Up Yet

In the race of destiny whether as a student, career person or professionals, Maya Angelou remarked “You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” In other words, you only become a failure when you stop trying….
